Desperate Housewives Surprise: Will It Really Go On for Nine Seasons?
Could Desperate Housewives go all the way to 2013?

Our Ted Casablanca just broke the news that Marc Cherry told his cast and crew as much today in a surprising announcement. So, has ABC honcho Steve McPherson signed off? Are the girls onboard? And since Cherry said he would end the show earlier, why the change of heart?

Is Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) trading up? Out with the older and wiser cardiac doc, in with the cute Brit intern...or maybe even the hot young surgeon? Or will Callie stick with friends-with-benefits Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) for the time being?

I've got the exclusive dish on which hot young things might be cozying up to Callie on Grey's Anatomy in the coming weeks...

As first reported by my friend Shawna Malcom in the L.A. Times Show Tracker blog, Jessica Capshaw (or J.Caps as we've been calling her around here) is joining Grey's Anatomy for a three-episode arc as pediatrician Dr. Arizona Robbins, who comes to Seattle Grace to help Bailey on a case.

Look who's running away from Dillon, Texas, to the home of Dylan McKay!

Sources tell me exclusively that Aimee Teegarden (Julie Taylor), of the ultratalented Friday Night Lights cast, has just been cast on the CW's 90210.

The CW confirms that Aimee will be playing Rhonda, a West Beverly High student who will cross paths with one of the other characters.

Wait a minute...The holdout? Yes, I'm also told exclusively by multiple sources that one of the show's original castmembers has not signed on to the movie...

"Yeah, [he or she] might not do it," an actor says of this costar. "However, I do know that we will do the project with or without [him or her]."

The good news is that aside from this actor (who, sorry, cannot be named), I'm told that all of the other main castmembers have committed to be a part of the big-screen project. And, yes, the show will go on.
