Heroes - Casting Director Natalie Hart interview
An interview excerpt with Heroes casting director, Natalie Hart from the new issue of the Official Heroes Magazine. HEROES MAGAZINE: Is it more daunting when you have so many roles to fill, like on Heroes, as opposed to a show that only has two leads? NATALIE HART: Absolutely, for a lot of reasons. There are a lot of people who need to agree on the same thing. On a show like ours, we have huge recurring characters. It's not just Tim, Dennis [Hammer, executive producer], and the writers; it's also the studio and network that get involved in a lot of the guest-casting, because it's more than one episode.

Nine times out of 10, the writers will give us a heads-up on what we should be looking for. Because we knew Tim so well we have a lot of freedom, so we're able to take chances with him. One example being Zach Quinto; the character was originally much older but we were really big fans of him as an actor and thought he would do a really good job.

Throughout Heroes' "Fugitives" volume, many of the super-powered world savers have been communicating with and taking orders from a mysterious ally named Rebel. This Monday (at 9pm/ET, on NBC), the truth behind that mystery will be revealed. But before that happens, Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) has to babysit a little one seemingly connected to Matt Parkman. We caught up with Oka to get the details on this diapered distraction, what Rebel is really up to, and just when (if it all) Hiro will get his powers back.

TVGuide.com: The last episode ended with Hiro discovering that the Matt Parkman he was trying to save was a baby. How is that going to play out?

Masi Oka: The baby is definitely a little bit extraordinary. More will be revealed about the baby and its origin. It's just another crossing of the paths in terms of the destinies of Hiro and Matt Parkman.

TVGuide.com: We knew Parkman's ex-wife was pregnant in Season 1, but Matt was sure it wasn't his baby. Is this kid even his?

Oka: That's all part of the reveal, but the baby is Matt Parkman's baby. So, what does that mean? We'll find out.

Heroes - Greg Grunberg Interview
An interview excerpt with Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman) from the new issue of the Official Heroes Magazine.

HEROES MAGAZINE: A few months ago, your childhood pal Jesse Alexander said you used to run a frozen yogurt delivery service. Even back then, were you harboring dreams of becoming a Hollywood actor?

GREG GRUNBERG: I've wanted to be an actor my whole life. Growing up, I would do community theater. In elementary school, I was Tom Sawyer [in a school show]. I was always that kid who wanted to either play sports or act, so I've always known I had the bug. I never thought of it as a career until I realized I had to take a chance on this. It was right after college that I decided now was the time. I opened a frozen yogurt store with my Dad on Melrose Avenue [in LA]. I've always had the business bug in me. I was sharing an apartment with [Lost creator] J.J. Abrams and I didn't know whether I was going to write or act. I was actually Joel Silver's personal driver for a year. I was doing everything I could possibly do, so it was either take acting seriously now, or never.

Hayden Panettiere Caught Cheating?
According to Radar, 'Heroes' actress Hayden Panettiere was caught making out with singer, Jesse McCartney. Reportedly, the two were partying at Crown Bar where she was caught sitting on McCartney's lap while he kissed her neck and then proceeded to give him a lap dance. We're calling BS on this latest rumor because we're pretty sure she's still with co-star Milo Ventimiglia. Otherwise, she's got a lot of explaining to do.

'Heroes' stars Panettiere and Ventimiglia, 31, met on the set TV drama and managed to keep their romance out of the public eye until they were caught cozying up at an Emmys party in September 2007. Last year in GQ, Ventimiglia opened up about their relationship, stating that avoiding rumors can be difficult, but he and Panettiere have to keep moving on.

"When you're in the public eye, you try to keep whatever you can private," he says. "People can speculate and talk. But what can you do -- stop living your life?"
